Egg Biryani By Neetha

Ingredients:

  1. Eggs 4 Nos
  2. Cashewnuts 4
  3. Peppercorns 4
  4. Shahi jeera 1 tbsp
  5. Anise 1 tsp
  6. Bayleaf 1
  7. Onion 1 No
  8. Green Chillies 2 Nos
  9. Tomato 1 No
  10. Mint leaves 1 bunch
  11. Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  12. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  13. Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  14. Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  15. Curd 1 cup
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Rice 2 cups

Instructions:

  1. Make biryani powder by grinding together shahi jeera, cumin seeds, anise, bay leaf, peppercorns, cashew nuts.
  2. Fry onions, green chilies and add tomatoes and cook for 10 – 15 minutes on low flame.
  3. Add the biryani powder, coriander powder, chili powder, and chili powder and mix well.
  4. Add curd and mix the spices well and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add soaked rice and pressure cook until the rice is cooked.
  6. Remove the lid and add boiled eggs and serve with raita.
